Nice!! Makes me motivated! I'll just ride into my next longer (than last week's) fast

It’s an interesting phenomenon. After enduring past the 2nd or 3rd day, we won’t feel hungry anymore. What’s the longest duration you fasted? :)

Oh ya, you asked me about salt consumption. I first took a teaspoon tip of sea salt with tap water at my 89th hour. It energised me and my hands & feet no longer feel cold. To make the salt intake more enjoyable, I have it with Apple Cider Vinegar & cold water on subsequent days. Works well chilled sparkling water too 🙂

I'm mostly intermittent fasting, longest fast I did only 63hrs. I started the salt water intake while fasting cos 1) I mostly consume very little salt (cos home-cooked food) 2) I read that low salt levels triggers the brain to food crave so just trying salt intake to see if that works for me in terms of hunger n food cravings. 3) yes! body starts to feel sluggish w low salt during my last >48hr fast I experienced some giddiness which is bad news for non office work. Got motivated by you n started my next fast... Man, the hunger n food crave first 24hrs...

63hrs is a good benchmark and with salt (a teaspoon tip mixed in Apple Cider Vinegar and cold water for better taste) will help you break the record easily. Yup, salt is the most important essential mineral thus the brain & body will call out for it. One alternative for salt intake is to soak your feet in warm water with a teaspoon of epsom salts for magnesium (another essential mineral) replenishment. Thank you for your kind acknowledgements; You're the first person who is keen to take action after reading my fasting updates! The passing/ temporary hunger & food crave is truly worthed it: You can feast freely & heartily at big occasions like birthday parties or weddings haha! ^^
