Why go that low body fat? As far as I know, men should keep their body fat around 10-15%, if lower that testosterone will be messed up. I think keep your body fat within that range should be better. 🤔

@Nate, just to push my limits and make it a once-in-lifetime experience. I base my reference on this website https://www.calculator.net/body-fat-calculator.html

I do 16/8 and OMAD. Have not tried extended fast. How do you feel now?

hi Ivan, it’s my 84th hour now. It feels like another usual morning where I don’t eat breakfast. There were some hunger pangs along the way but easily gotten over by doing deep breathing, drinking warm water or Ice Mountain sparkling water.

That website also tells me I should keep body fat around 10% which I don’t believe it. It’s quite unrealistic and too hard to achieve. Even in old Asian lifestyle, their body fat was around 12% and they were exceptionally lean. So I just think that normal people should not go that far, and especially should not stay in that low body fat percentage for longer period of time.

Whether it is easy & practical to maintain 8% body fats, only one way to find out ;)

How can we measure body fat? Those machines don’t work very well.

Yup, those 'smartscales' have error reading as much as 8% deviation. Nowadays I use tailor tape to measure my neck and around-belly-button then key into the above site. Observed that my digital scale is always showing 4% higher fats than this manual method.

So happy when i see the calculator.net figure. The BMI version always means obesity for me.

Yup, BMI is a very rough/ ballpark estimate. Bodybuilders or people with muscle mass surely fail BMI even if they have low/ healthy body fats.
