During fasting around 60% of fat lost are visceral fat, so your waistline should be significantly lower. And during refeeding, water, glycogen, and muscle fibre are regaining back. So you must see that your legs or your arms get bigger a bit after refeeding. I want to get leaner and shred visceral fat off me too, it’s really bad for health, but it’s my bulking period now. 😓

Yup, lost up to 2cm around my neck too. Wow, are you bulking up for some competition or just aiming to achieve a personal best in form or weights?

I was skinny fat at the point that I can say I had no muscle at all. Not only that, I have low blood pressure and asthma as well. Last year I lost my weight from 125kg to 80kg, my blood pressure went lower even more, that’s why I have to workout. I’m not professional bodybuilder or weightlifter. I just try my best to get stronger. But I have belly fat now. So I use the bodybuilding method to bulk up and lean down. That is the most effective way to get stronger and shred fat off, only the part that for lean down period, I’m not going caloric deficit diet like others, I’ll go with fasting instead.

My goal is to live to 200 years 😅. To achieve that goal, I think I have to store as much muscle as I naturally can. That’s why I’m going for most effective plan for both getting healthy and getting stronger.

Great minds think alike! I recently gotten serious about Longevity and been researching all related aspects of it from Eastern and Western sources and found some common denominators eg Fasting and Vagus Nerve improvement etc. I have finished reading Lifespan by David Sinclair and his suggestion of due to medical science improvement people will live to see their great-grandchildren & beyond is very encouraging. My current goal is set at being healthy & able-bodied till 122 years old. Thus having strong & lasting bones & muscles for mobility and old-age fall prevention is a must. My current focus on being as light as possible by minimising my fats as this would help in easier feeling cold for HRV strengthening heheh.

Amazing achievement of 45kg loss within a year! Did you apply any form of Fasting last year?

I was on speed keto diet (ketogenic + OMAD) with extreme caloric deficit. It worked really well, but after I knew that consuming too much animal product and oils is bad for health, I stopped. Keto diet needs to be researched more for long term effect. But for now we already know that 90% of toxins in body come from animal products alone, and oxidised oil (which means all oils) is one of the main cause of cancer. For me I think that keto diet is mimic of fasting. If we can fast, why go for its mimic, which is practically harm for body, unlike fasting that’s unarguably good for health. About bone, you just have to do 3 things 1. Resistance training. 2. Stop all dairy products. 3. Eat more legumes, pea, mung bean, peanuts, soy, even soy milk and etc. Dairy is the worst for bone, it cause bone calcium lost (completely opposite to what we were taught that dairy is good for bone), and phytoestrogen in legume (which all men scared) helps increase bone mass and prevent fragility.
