The expected water weight rebound due to salt replenishment.
Also a consequence of munching on too much cashew nuts and peanuts. Just found out that cashew is highest carbs amongst the nuts. Gonna stop buying it and replace it with macadamia for my nuts pantry.

You have made quite an achievement, Bernard 🙂 How long are you gonna stay on refeeding process? And what about your diet after this? Are you gonna be on keto diet?

Thank you Nate for your sharings & support during the process 😉 Besides my current target weight of 74kg, another goal is to attain 13% or below body fats by mid-year. Besides applying 16:8 daily and OMAD as much as practicable, I’ll refer to this website for foods on the lower end of carbs. Not regarding it as my Keto diet because I won’t counting carbs or kcal haha. As for refeeding, I was eating moderately & quite plainly the next day after breaking fast. Now feeling normal as per before the 11 days fast.

Stay calm and don’t go overeat yet. After long fast your gut is as pure and sensitive as baby’s. About your goal I think, it’s quite reasonable goal. Sadly that I see a lot of people try to get to 1 digit body fat percentage. That’s unhealthy. Thank you for the website you suggest. I’ll check it 🙂 I’d like to ask you. Have you ever tried dry fasting before? And how do you think about it?

Haha, it's hard to overeat (more than standard portions) because I could feel that the stomach has shrunk/ been unstretched. I agree. 1 digit body fat is only worth the pain & effort if one is been paid big bucks to do it professionally eg competitive marathon runners or bodybuilders. My only close experience of dry fasting is interacting with my Muslim friends during Ramadan where some of them don't even swallow their saliva. I'm one who believes in 'Never Say Never'. I might try out Dry Fasting in the future as a form of Survivalist training. Thus far I am happy to gain the confidence that I can function with daily hours of moderate intensity for up to 10 days with a focused mind.

That's interesting that cashews are higher in carb, I figured that most nuts have fibre in them but not cashews.

At least you have to make sure that you are on reasonable caloric deficit. Keto diet is very good plan for short term weight lost, but for longer term weight lost it might not be the best diet. And about dry fasting, I’m thinking to go dry fasting for 5 days straight then stay on water fasting with limited water intake not more than 2ltr per day for my fasting next month which I think I’ll have muscle building plateau around that time. There are some researchs since soviet age about dry fasting. I’m looking for more details about dry fasting now. They mentioned that some cautious problem like kidney failure is only found in water fasting, but in dry fasting or things like that. As for me, it’s illogical to drink water but not eating food. Evolutionarily, our cells fast when there is no food, and no food means no water. From evolutionary perspective I thinks it’s more reasonable to go dry fasting than water fasting. 🤔🤔🤔

Nate, I googled and found the 'Russian Fasting School' which you might have come across. Have also gotten The Dry Fasting Miracle by Luke Coutinho to get a better understanding. When friends heard that I had not eaten for almost 2 weeks, they thought I was crazy, extreme or even risking my life. Well, with rigorous scientific research and tested & proven trials, Dry Fasting might not be so crazy afterall. Very happy to learn something new everyday!

Yes, I know about Sergei Filonov and Russian Fasting School. But I can’t find other sources about dry fasting. The publisher Siberika already translated his book to English. I’ll buy it for sure. And I know a bit of Russian, may be I’ll try to read more of his books. 🤔

Funny how I was reading along, then come to your post and what do I see? That information about the cashews, I was actually eating some lol. And they are so good. But now I will have to look at this thing again.

It is proof that everything in this world is connected and we can tap to/ from it with our mind :) Yea, do check out the bottom of the DietDoctor link i shared to see the carbs value of other food and drinks types.
