SPRING RECOMP 2021 - DAY 27
LIFT DAY

Know those mornings when you awake to discover that the world you have created around you is simply unacceptable? That there is no outsourcing of responsibility and that massive immediate action is required?

Yah.

Rest day yesterday. First day of recomp that I can claim any legitimate dietary discipline. Under 1500; couple hundred under my rest day plan. Planned to fast. Failed forward instead. I'll take it.

Lifting today. Plan is to fast all day, break with a shake, lift late and crowd free, refeed with a fresh batch of chunky monkey. Or straight meat. Rest Day/lo calorie day tomorrow.

Full family get together Sunday for the first time in way too long. Major feast. No logging allowed. Plan is to stay disciplined all week. Lift Sunday morning fasted. Then feast.

Progress awaits.

Let's go!

Is it not true that when one is right with oneself, externalities don't trigger a reaction? And if so, then that finding oneself increasingly reactive is a sign of something inside that needs attention? For the last couple weeks everything from diet opinion to dishes in the sink has been inspiring a negative reflex. Pretty sure that's a heads up to take a look in the fuckin mirror. Regardless, this is as close as I am gonna get to insight...

Jimmie, I completely agree and get what you're saying. Sometimes it's enough to simply acknowledge that it's about what's going on with you and deal with it at a later time. Keeping a lid on it (you) can take some effort and be exhausting, but it all gets worked out when dealt with honesty and attention. 👍

@cc Agreed. I call that a "pausing" practice. Might could dust mine off a bit...
