Steven Anthony's Journal, 28 Apr 18

Day twelve of my 90 day program went really well. I started my fast Friday at 11:00 and will continue until Monday at 11:00. I had plenty of energy and did not feel very hungry. I hit my weekly goal of 2 lbs loss. I walked 4 miles. I should have drank more water.

I don't get that really good feeling of being detoxed and burning fat until the third day (and over the "D" and fluctuating energy levels). Did you ever consider fasting longer?

@Adefwebserver, I am working my way up to it. I have 12, 3 day fasts planned first. I would like to do a 5 day after my 90 day program.

Oh I totally understand. That is how I did it too :) I just hoped that you would eventually feel the "Promised Land" :) Like today. I had my old 350-400 calories cappuccino with MCT oil and butter. I felt "full". But, for the past 3-4 days I have not felt full, I only had the "absence of hunger". For me the two feelings are not the same. But, I only start to feel that way after day 3 and when I drop my calories <100. The irony is that with your low calorie intake and good exercise we both end up each week with similar net calories, so our weight loss matches each other. I can see this by examining your numbers. So I am doing the fasting for the 'spiritual feeling' of emptiness (and it keeps me from cheating like I have in the past).

Yes, I would love to reach the next level you have mentioned.

Keep it up. You are doing outstanding. While not one that could fast as you do, yours and @Adefwebserver efforts provide inspiration to say the very least as well as conceptual information one can adapt and apply. Keep it up! You, without a doubt, gots this!

@JLente - Would you believe that I never considered fasting until a month ago when my wife said she was going to fast for three days? I told her she was crazy and that it was probably unhealthy ect. I only tried it because we are going on vacation next week and I was willing to give it a try. So I did the 1, then the 2, then the 3 days fasts. Each time it was easier because I was starting with a body that was used to a lower calorie intake. I am currently on day 7 of a 11 day liquid fast (not to be confused with water only that I am re-starting again today). A month ago I would have said there is no way I could have done that.

Great job on sticking to your program. I currently only do 16/8 fasting but I have done 72 hour fasts. Keep going!!

NY_shelly, thank you for commenting. That you are fasting at all shows your determination and you WILL see results long term. Can't wait until you share your next 72 hr fast!
