Steven Anthony's Journal, 19 Apr 18

Hi all,

Day three was fantastic. I had 2 keto coffees in the morning before walking. I was going to eat at 1:00, but a walkin client arrived pushing lunch to 2:00. Was not really hungry. I added 20 tiny olives and a single slice of cheese to my eggs and sausage, followed it up with a cup of coffee and lots of water. Got home and ate dinner at 6, felt great energy up until bedtime.

I kept thinking about this voice I call my inner child. I've taken to calling him "Crumbcake". It seems we have this running conversation about what we should and shouldn't do. I think we are codependent. I think of myself as the older and wiser and Crumbcake as younger, adventurist, and more playful.

I really need Crumbcake to buy into this weight loss plan. I don't need him pitching a fit each time he wants to eat off plan and I say no. On the other hand, Crumbcake wants to hike more and find some fun things to do and he doesn't need my laziness. I think we agreed yesterday to working together to reach our goals. Tomorrow I will journal some of the things we have in common, and some where we greatly differ.

All in all, Crumbcake was a good boy yesterday and a pleasure to be around. Now he wants to go for a walk so we will see ya'll later. Have a great day everyone.

Another great journal. I am totally right with you except for your ability to actually say no :) I do not have your willpower. Something I am thinking about, and plan to journal deeper at a future date, is to look at food as something that I am grateful for as life giving rather than a tool for pleasure.

Adefwebserver, food is my number one but I am trying to reward myself with healthy "other" options. Will power to say no comes with practice, moment by moment. Good luck, excited to read your journal.
