Lowkeylife's Journal, 10 Feb 22

Yesterday was 35 years ago my daddy committed suicide and left me a note saying he had nothing to live for. Geez daddy, talk about effin up your only child, your daddy’s girl. I turned 12 later that years and boy was it rough for years to come. I was angry, resentful and bitter. This is around the time my weight began to balloon out of control.

I now understand why I’ve made so many shitty life choices through the years. I’ve silently battled through depression, anxiety, drinking too much and having unhealthy relationships with both people and food but here
I am. Standing. Taller. Than. Ever 🙏🙏🙏

On my excursion on Tuesday the boyfriend of this young couple kept staring at me until he finally said I reminded him of his aunt. TF 😳 so now I’m compared to old ladies but he said “like my aunt but 20 years younger, she was like you; YOLO. Always doing what she wanted and nobody could stop her. She now lives in England”. I smiled. Be like auntie. I am auntie. 😀

YOLO, single women travel, boss status, restless, always on the move. Auntie. Unapologetic. Yeah. That’s me.

Perspective is everything and knowing who you are is everything else. How awesome are you, for telling your truth to yourself and to others. You are amazing. From one "auntie" to another.

Sometimes people do not realize the treasures around them if there are heavy clouds hanging and fog them ...there were other things your father could not deal with at the time....in no way did he intend to leave YOU.

My Dad was killed in a car accident a few months before I turned 12. I have experienced many of the same feelings and made a lot of the same mistakes. I can't imagine what you endured in your situation! I am unbelievably Proud of You for reclaiming your Life, the Life that you truly Deserve.

There you go ... you will remember this travel - where you travelled all of that way and through all of those years - to find yourself. There are much worse things than discovering that you are "Auntie" !!! Have a great day on the warm beach.

I'm sorry to hear this. I've dealt with people in my life committing suicide and it's such a difficult issue. Blame and guilt definitely come into play... Take care of yourself and value your life and your accomplishments. Treat life as the fragile thing that it is and appreciate it and the gifts God has given you. Sometimes they don't feel like gifts but they can definitely make you stronger. Always supporting you! 💜🙏💜💜💜🙏🙏

Great response Diana1234. LCL.— this is so hard to handle when it occurs in an adult’s life, let alone a child’s. I am so sorry.
