I haven’t eaten eggs for months I’m an attempt to go 100% plant based my New Years. However I’m finding now when back at work, with regular exercise I’m hungrier than previously and gravitate toward fluff calories from other sources not protein which is why I’m bouncing 3-4lb every few days. My body is much happier during high protein days.

I know what you mean about protein as I've recently learned. How long did it take you to transition to where you are now with your plant based diet?

I’ve been 100% no meat or chicken for 3 years. Cut out dairy (98%) 18 months ago, no cheese, cream or yoghurt. My dairy comes from pre cooked or packaged that may use some form of dairy and random coffee creamer if non dairy isn’t available. Dropped seafood and eggs to biweekly only when I injured my foot so on 10/16. I will most likely stick to eating eggs n seafood few times a month.

I am planning to be 80% veggie. Today is my 1st day so thanks for being an inspiration 🙏

What are your primary sources of protein? I eat meat, but I've always thought about being vegetarian. Since I've been on FS I supplement with a protein powder and lowfat dairy and eggs. I've seen you post some things like veggie burgers, crumbles etc. Just wondering off the top of your head which items are your favs and which give you the most protein per serving? I know beans and quinoa are a good source too.

Soy free plant based meatballs from Aldi Morning star brand crumbles, patties Tofu Seitan Temped Quorn Beyond Meat See no evil sausages Plant based “chicken” from Deliciou Home made bean burgers and patties Lentils, beans, quinoa Protein bars Shrimp, salmon, eggs on the weekends Several times per week I end up eating a processed proteins but very try to very carefully make sure my veggies and stuff are from scratch. On my weight lifting days I eat more protein, leading up to those days I eat more carbs. So while I eat “healthy” there is a fair amount of proceed foods or half prep in the mix. Yes, wine and chocolate too. I believe in balance.

Thanks Lowkey! I think I may look for a few of these and eventually, slowly start to integrate them into my diet. My hubby has us getting meal kits but I would like to eat other sources of protein than just dairy. Hope you have a Happy Holiday!!!
