Today’s weight was frightening me. Yesterday I ate a bit more carbs than normally.

Staying on keto prevent muscle loss pretty well, but when consuming carbs, the energy source switched from fat (keto) to sugar, but because I didn’t eat a lot of sugar, so, at worst, the energy I used was from muscle.

Next time I will be concerned more about this by
1. If I eat low glycemic index carbs, I will go with caloric surplus. Or
2. Only go with high glycemic index carbs, but keep that OMAD rule.

The first choice is to make sure I have enough calorie for the day without burning my muscle for fuel.

The second choice is to lower insulin as fast as possible, to turn back to keto as fast as I can.

Both methods can help prevent muscle loss. But first method will make me gain weight from caloric surplus.

For this new year I ordered some snack for myself, all snack have high glycemic index, so I chose the second method for this new year celebration (diet break).
79.4 kg Lost so far: 8.6 kg.    Still to go: 14.4 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.
