Perma-Abs Day 99
Waist = 34"; Down 1/4"

It was the best of weeks. It was the worst of weeks.

This morning I am most thankful for -

* Thinking to make this practice this morning!

* Still showing abs and walking around in range, despite it being nearly October, not lifting since Monday, and spending a chunk of the week stress eating sans tracking.

* All the pastitsio and spano being GONE! So no more impulse stress bingeing...

* Pop and me retaining - at least on brief occasion - our shared appreciation of irony and caustic family humor.

* Pop finally falling asleep after 60 enraging insomniac hours of non-stop sundowners.

* Occasionally being mindful enough to catch a seed of resentment sprouting in my mind, and having the wherewithal to pause and let it pass before it festers. Occasionally.

* Completing a small piece of family business this week that has been lingering for years. Finally.

* Having a fully, completely, 100% Deep Cleaned, Pine Sol smelling, range hood sparkling, dust bunny devoid, organized crib for the first time in forever...

* The team of wonderful ladies who busted their butts all day to make it happen

* Pop's not seriously injuring himself despite recent adventures involving electrical outlets, falling on concrete while trying to move trash into the house, pulling on speaker wires attached to a 30# speaker, frolicking up and down the stairs with assorted dishes, glasses, and blankets, and, in a magnum opus of failed judgment, waking yours truly in the middle of the night. Twice. To stammer.

* The focus and clarity offered by "getting the curve" within the family.

* The handful of real, persistent, solid relationships that have withstood the strains of distance, divorce, family illness, business trials and tribulations, and etc.

* Catching up with my Paizon after far too many years

* All my real and true boys and heroes now gone - Jimmie (the original), Nick, and CT; and the greatest uncles for whom one could ever wish - John, Lou, Dave, and Tommy.

* My godmother, long gone, but not forgotten, a simple country girl, diminutive of stature, but not of spirit, who had an airport, drive-in movie theatre, and diner, flew planes, smoked two packs of Benson & Hedges a day, taught her parrot to cuss and bite, repeatedly won "teacher of the year" in her district, drank Old Crow by the shot, and always drove German. Always.

* The apparent resolution of #2's school residency issues in spite of his mother's attempts to undermine him.

* #2's strong launch to the school year, and not fucking up living independently in the first 30 days

* Having the wherewithal to offer #2 full freedom and independence from his mother. Most important family decision I have made since fighting for custody.

* Solid real relationships with both my sons.

* Pop being motivated to take a shower, and having the good fortune to fly solo without injury

* Big bro's successful major surgery yesterday and hopefully rapid return to full health.

* the inspiration offered by my FS brothers and sisters that take a hard look in the mirror, face down their demons, and put their struggle on blast for our benefit, notably of recent Bear, Tim, Merm, Kellagh, DP and last but not least, my girl Kay. And many many more that I am forgetting..

* A big bright beautiful sunny Fall Saturday morning!

"Life is about losing. As we get older, we lose our hair, we lose our teeth, we lose our mothers, our father, our sisters... But it's the ones who overcome that loss in life, that can shun away adversity, and always willing to fight at every particular moment in life that are the ones that are able to transcend and spread the word to other people who's in that same particular genre as they are... "

Love this!! Especially the Pine sol part. I do that every day as a self employed business woman, working my rear off to make homes shine and smell good. I hope my people post about me somewhere. 😂😂😂
