Maintenance PermaAbs - Day 8 Track Day
Today's Waist = 33 3/4"; Down 1/8" Target Waist = 32" - 34" Target Scale = 195# +/- 5#
Stats back (barely) within my target maintenance range after yesterday's higher volume workout and way over budget calories. Abs back in full effect this morning.
Inaugural morning abs quickie in the books. Kettlebell crunches. Optimal technique appears to be holding the KB directly over one's forehead. 20kg. Little daunting, that... Anyway, once I got it down, super fast and effective ab workout.
Not thrilled about the remaining lower ab and back fluff, but upon reflection, I would be thrilled to have my current physique come winter solstice. So that's the mindset. Current status is top end of my target fatness range. Goal is to maintain at least this. Doing so over the winter would itself be a home run. If I settle in and take another run down, fine. Icing on the cake.
Feeling better - higher energy, more positive, more productive - with the combo of higher calories (~2450/day last 7 days vs ~1450/day on Mini-Cut) and conditioning work. Appears to be a win as long as I can keep the calories in check.
Strongly recommend the Mary J Blige documentary just out on Prime. What a Bad Bitch she is! Had me deep in the feels. May do a separate post on that. Or not. But her story goes right to the heart of the self loathing that many of we FS brothers and sisters seem to share.
Enough with the Track Day avoidance..
