SPRING RECOMP 2021 - DAY 37
LIFT DAY

Skipped the lift again yesterday even though test came back negative. Elbow pain, pooped, and etc. Back at it today. Thankful to have only missed one scheduled lift day (Thursday) between the travel, elbow, and the exposure notice drama.

Elbow looks to be bursitis. Docs say no lifting. No planks. Up to 4 months of rest to heal. Please. Marc Bell chased a 600# bench through the same condition. Pretty sure there's an intelligent middle ground. Going to get a little more systematic about treatment - dmso, ice, etc. If necessary will program around the bench press, which is the likely culprit.

Pleased with the diet control on the unplanned rest day yesterday. Around 1400k total.

Time to shop and food prep for the week.

Let's go!

LMAO. Too funny. But yeah, the lifters were all pretty consistent in their response to this, although they do vary in degree, with Mark being on the aggressive end of the spectrum....Enjoy your time with your son. Well deserved.

as a fellow idiot who usually pushes through, there’s definitely a middle ground somewhere. Good luck.

On the other hand, the more you push, the longer the recovery and the greater the risk of further injury. If you want to get back to doing what you love as soon as possible, be willing to take your foot off the gas.

You do know injuries need love and time to heal Need to take care of elbow 1st then continue forward. All your doing is extending the time to heal if not making the situation worse

Jimmie, I’m sorry about your elbow bursitis, it does take a long time to heal, so please let it heal. My dad had the same thing because he played football in high school. He suffered all his life all the way to end. So take care now so you won’t go through that.👍

I have an at-home TENS machine I use for elbow pain. (tennis elbow) It can take ages to heal but you can work around it if you are careful.
