SPRING RECOMP 2021 - DAY 32

Spent a chunk of Saturday sourcing a last minute replacement sitter for Sunday. Found a dude who had cared for his Grandfather (Parkinsons) and who was previously a bartender at the Four Seasons. Never gone wrong hiring a Marriott alum, and, thankfully, this was no exception.

Scored clothes for #2 son, who has grown into sasquatch proportions, on the first stop. Never even imagined that was possible. I could quibble about his Johnny Cash meets Flava Flav fashion choices, but that would be, uh, quibbling.. If he wants to celebrate Easter dressed for a New Orleans hip hop funeral, so be it.

Subjected to apparently excessive dad whining, the sasquatch offered the above counsel. Duly chastised, I abandoned the ego flex and shifted gears. Picked up and organized the house, but did not scrub. Sent out the laundry and dry cleaning. Smoked a couple pork shoulders overnight so the natives can self serve all this week.

Up Sunday morning to blast Earth Wind and Fire while breaking down and cleaning the hood and range top. Kitchen wouldn't pass muster with Gordon, but it will hold me over until I get some help in here. Then off to lift pre-feast.

Pressed 8 X 110#, up 5# and 3 over target, making up for Friday's sets skipped on time. 10 X 195# on deads, up 10# and 5 reps over target. Skipped chins and ab work on time.

Took wine and a big fat beautiful torta from the local patisserie. Didn't hold back, but didn't go hog wild. Didn't count. Plenty of libations. Great to see everyone. It had been far too long.

The combination of fasted lifting, alcohol and ad libitem refeed delivered some bizarro results. Visibly leaner in the mirror. 2 pak plus. Waist up a full inch, scale down, and body fat down to 12.6%. Physically and psychologically uncomfortable with the waist.

Onward.
