SPRING CUT - DAY 55
13 HOURS FASTED

I'm back. Wide awake at 0530 and looking for a fight! Almost 90 hours from point of vaxx. Ironically, that's by far the sickest I have been in a minute. Knock on wood.

Hit my gating hurdle of BF% < 14% yesterday and didn't know. Only realized after I dusted off the Re-Comp Plan I posted a month or so back and read the first line.

Glad to have hit the milestone, but not feeling it a bit. A quick glance at the pics from 2018 was enough to disabuse me of any self satisfaction. I am going to launch my recomp this week on schedule. And I am damn sure not going to do it from a starting point of 192.8#.

Also, I am going to formalize both flexibility and strength standards as part of my transition to recomp. Also cardio. Much as it pains me to say. Probably health markers also. I understand some basics - A1C, CrP, LDL/HDL, PSA, etc. - but feel like there may be a more thoughtful approach...

Not sure what inspired me to roll a pound of kielbasa into my grilled chicken bowl last night, but, uh, it happened.

Gray, cool, rainy morning. House is still. Coffee's hot.

Perfect.

Let's go!

Congratulations on your vaccine :) I'm now fully vaccinated myself. The one time I am glad to be 'older' :)

@adef Did your parents get it? I scheduled Pop, but there is literally no way he is going to make it through the process at the clinic. Def not senior friendly. In fact, I didn't see a single old person down there. Mostly Genx and Boomers. Pretty sure that's not because we've done such a terrific job of vaxxing the oldsters...

My parents (one has Alzheimer's) both got vaccinated through their HMO. The place was very "senior friendly", nothing but 70 year olds, mostly in wheel chairs, pushed by their kids. I am Blessed for sure 🙌🏾

@adef. Appreciate the Intel. Pcp was my first choice but can't help cause jurisdictional politics. Don't get me started. Glad you were able to get it done. Pretty sure there's an intelligent solution I haven't found.

Hi Jimmie, I got my vaccine through a drive thru tent. All my local health departments are set up as drive-thru. Not sure if your area is like that but it's worth checking out. When I called the health department for the county I live in, they told me there are no residency requirements (I live in a rural area though) so I got one in the county I worked in.

Congrats on the shot! Hubs and daughter are getting their second doses today (teacher and medical worker). They just had a little arm soreness with the first dose. My MIL had her second shot 3 weeks ago and just a little arm soreness. She lives in a senior retirement place and a team of people came in and vaccinated everyone all in one day. Out of 200 people only 3 chose to not be vaccinated (which is pretty good since we live in an anti vac county). Sadly one of those three went on a vent last week and passed away. Hopefully my group will be opening up in a few weeks in my state.
