Squat: 5X265; No Change; Miss 1
Incline: 8X165; Up 7 Reps; +3; PR
Wide PullUp: 8X000; Up 1; OnTarget

Finished yesterday's workout + one slooow mile on the ellip. Bounce in my ear, but zero bounce left in my step. Food in. Plan was to hit the pool for a nap and roast. Couch was so lovely and sweet that she could not be denied. And the house is so quiet and orderly and childless. I mean, it's really crazy now that I think about it.. I cannot recall the last time I went 48 hours without being dispossessed of my bath towel, razor, or last pair of socks.... Who willfully abandons such peace for the prospect of observing neighbor spawn reinact Lord of the Flies with pool noodles?

Foot thingy appears to be metatarsal, which is perhaps now my favorite injury word other than Lisfranc, which is a hard injury name to top. Couple minutes of stretching calves and toes and a strategically placed thingamabob in the bottom of my shoe and I can walk sans limp. Went down the stairs on the balls of my feet this morning for the first time in a minute. Lovely.

Back's super tight after that squat set, which is heavy for me. Not strained or tweaked, but super tight, which is warning stage. Thought about taking a muscle relaxer prophylacticly, but held off. We'll see how the overnight goes.

Plan was to hit the pub for game 3, but that's a non-trivial crunch time diet risk. Probably better to save that for elimination games...

Let's go!

Few people can pull off the proper use of prophylactically and you made it look easy. Such a pro!

@merm Glad to hear that you are lifting tomorrow! (I've been wanting to nudge you to let sis watch the kiddos for a couple hours so you could go lift, but bit my tongue.) I have no idea what the Lisfranc is. Foot maybe. Just heard about it while watching a football game. Not particularly common, but difficult to heal IIRC.

@kat The most famous physical therapists on the internet! Love those guys. They're like CarTalk for PT. Also found this gymnast pike tutorial that as it turns out is calf focused, so helpful.

That is the perfect analogy, jimmie. Solid hands on knowledge with entertainment factor. And it usually fits my attention span. Always a bonus.
