So I’m finally at a point where I don’t get down over weight gain on the scale.

Last week I joined a 7 day challenge to lose 4lbs. At first I lost almost 3lbs and was thinking YES!!!! But then I gained back all of it towards the end of the week. I have one day left.

But Now I have a Wyze band and Wyze digital scale and it’s telling me I gained it all back in muscle mass, with lower fat, higher lean body mass, etc etc.

Good! Because I worked my ass off! An hour of cardio each day. Eating good. Living the country life, burning garden trimmings and chopping wood. That’s hard work!

Before the digital scale and band, I would have seen that and lost hope.

So.... lesson learned. I highly recommend a digital scale and some sort of fitness tracker. And a kitchen scale.

I agree, without the analytics you the number is just a number and it can be easily discouraging. Measuring your body helps too because 1 lb of muscle takes up less space than one 1 lb of fat. I pre-ordered the Wyze watch but haven't gotten it yet. 😢

Measuring is the next thing I need to start doing. And btw, I love my Wyze band. I have an iPhone so it seamlessly ties into Apple health. I had an android before and I’m sure it does the same to other apps. The only thing you have to remember to do, is manually sync at least once a day. Though if you miss a day, it just catches up on the next sync. There is no Auto syncing. And I was surprised how nice it is to have Alexa on your wrist. In public, when you ask questions, she’s quiet and responds in text. Hope you enjoy it! Pretty nice band for not a lot of money

Ah wait. You got the watch, not the band. Not sure how those work but everything I’ve had by Wyze has been great so far. Have fun!

I had a hard time deciding if I wanted the watch or band but decided on the watch. I'm sure the functionality is about the same it's been so long I've already forgotten why I picked the watch. I'm just playing the waiting game now. Thank you for the tip of syncing, that will be something I'll have to remember.

Emotions always tie into our weight loss and/or muscle gain. One fact, give or take what you’re eating or how you’re burning it, a pound is about 3500 calories. Eat to gain or exercise to loose on those truism’s. Good shedding y’all! 💪

I hope that’s what’s happening to me. I just have regular scales, 1 for me, 1 for food. I can’t tell if I’m losing fat & gaining muscle 😢

Yeah those pesky emotions! Lol I guess that’s why I like FS and recording everything. I really love just seeing the facts. As for what the fitness tracker, digital scale and phone do... it all syncs together. Your arm yourself with data. Instead of trusting that an analog scale is calibrated or trusting just the scale number. In the morning, I open the wyze app. Tap the scale icon. Tap the screen to connect. Step on the scale. It sends my weight, bone density, lean body mass, BMI, etc etc etc to the app on my phone. Then I open Wyze again. Tap the band icon. Then my fitness tracker band sends my last heart rate, my sleeping pattern, my steps, my additional workouts and more. Both of these devices are also connected to the Apple health app on my iPhone. They do similar to android phones. And I can pull the fitness tracker data into FS. So now when I step on the scale I pay attention more to my fat loss and muscle gain, rather than simply weight. Hope I understood the question and that it helps you understands why the scale and band are cool

There is also a stopwatch on the band which I find useful if I’m doing circuit weight training. I’ll set that to 30-60 seconds between sets.
