Mexico was amazing. Weather was perfect, hotel was great, received a complimentary ocean view upgrade. Every establishment followed social distancing very well, tourists not so much. Lot of hotels, bars, stores and restaurants were closed. It was very quiet in Cancun which was ok with me, I would normally not choose places like Cancun and would opt for a more quiet place.
4 days of bliss followed by an over priced tshirt and two new tattoos later I was ready to come home. I am perhaps one of the few people that go to buy a tshirt and end up in a tattoo studio. This wasn't the first time and won't be the last I am sure... The volcano is for the volcanic eruption that happened in January while I was in the Philippines. The Mayan sun is for ascension and clarity.
I am happy that after days of hesitation I chose to go. I needed this, my mind, body and soul needed this. The countdown to Barbados has begun for my 45th bday mid sep. I will aim to get down to 178-175 before so I have few lb's to play with while away again!!!
