Ironically, the only thing I changed was actually increasing my calories, changing to MFP to log the food, and adding yoga in with strength training and cardio, which ironically reduces the amount of cals I'm burning per week yoga doesn't burn as much. Oh, and I stopped drinking so much water and increased my salt intake. Upon further research a person can actually over-hydrate themselves and if the kidneys can't process it readily, it will simply hold on to it. Blood work came back from blood draw Friday; CBC with differential came out beautiful and liver is doing just fine :-)

Actually pink, around 2 liters is what I was drinking (which, is what the link you posted recommends for my age)> A week after I stopped and just drank when thirsty or until my urine was a light yellow, I stopped gaining pounds of water weight. Drinking less is literally the difference between .8 lbs (which is normal) versus 3lbs of water retention.
One must be mindful when it comes to "standards". They often don't represent a spectrum of factors that create different results in different people. My blood pressure actually dropped after I increased the salt intake and reduced water intake, and I eat in an inordinate amount of sodium. I always have, and the bp stays in the 60's, because it's obvious this body metabolizes salt differently. Research is already beginning to surface that salt may not be the "demon" we've made it. Just depends on the body, and though I do like research, it's this body I'm listening to right now and it looks like it's responding in a positive way, despite what the "standard" claims. Thank you kindly for the link :-)
