Windy Day's Journal, 04 Feb 24

Good Sunday morning! Had a very nice time with son and granddaughters last night. But I got tired and didnt feel like making two main entrees for dinner so I just had a very small square of lasagna with them and logged that. Still right at 1000-1100 cals total for the day. I usually keep calories to 1000-1400 daily. Maybe too low? Idk. Maybe I should bulk up on low fat protein for about a week, then drop back down. See if that nudges my metabolism at all. Cant hurt at this point lol. Weather forecast this week is looking good so getting outside to ride the stationary (which is on my porch) can only help. Hope everyone has a wonderful rest of the weekend. Reach for the *** stars ***

I don't feel up to fixing separate meals either so I opt for something we both like and will eat.

I am guilty of spoiling my kids with their favorites now that they are grown and moved away. I used to be much more strict when they were growing up, LOL!

Yes we always make nicer dinners on Sunday too to keep my oldest coming over 😂 I think it's great you had lasagna. My goal would be to eat strict all day then have dinner with the family staying in my calorie range. My kids don't like when I eat separately which is what I'm doing now as I have a lot to lose. Like today I won't be eating with them since I'm still doing a detox. BTW if you want to get over a plateau, there are a lot of programs I know that always make me lose and can be short...

Good job still hitting your calorie range!

For me, I have noticed if I go under 1200 - 1300 calories range that I sometimes do worse losing as they say your body needs 1200 minimum. So your idea of going a little higher this week might be worth seeing if it makes a difference? It's so frustrating not seeing the results you want when you are doing so great with your eating. I've been there!

Im going to try to up the calories this week, mostly protein. Can't hurt and might help. We'll seeee.... And I know they say its calories in/calories out, but I really think it matters what those calories are. Its always a matter of balance. I'm trying.

Yes I agree for me with my issues and age, unfortunately the type of calories count and balancing the protein with carbs. You do a great job with your food. I hope you see the results you want soon! And I appreciate all the support you also give me.
